The HSE have highlighted several factors that can help reduce injury, and the Roll-X-Cage™ and Rollet™ products have been designed with these recommendations in mind specifically:
- Robust and rigid frame
- No sharp edges
- Handles to help protect fingers from impact
- Good quality castors
- Castors fitted close to corners to improve stability
- Restriction of total height to 1500mm ensuring a clear view when pushing
- Lighter and therefore easier to handle
In the food and drink industry 30% of all reported injuries are caused by manual handling and it is thought that up to a third of these accidents (e.g.: by the pushing and pulling of roll cages) are roll cage related.
