The Roll-X-Cage range of products have been developed in association with BAA and DHL, to enable rapid goods screening of all goods taken airside at Heathrow T5.
Retailers and food & beverage users within the terminal buildings send their order requirements to DHL, who then fill the cages with the appropriate items. The cages are then put through an x-ray scanning machine at the Heathrow Consolidation Centre (HCC), and delivered direct to airside.
This process has allowed increases in efficiencies, and enabled the eradication of labour intensive "double handling" of goods. This process has been so successful, the scheme has been expanded to cover the other four terminals at London Heathrow Airport.
